Count Uncertainty

DEFINITION

Type of Instrumental Uncertainty.
Sometimes in data-sheets of Tool, it express "times" of last digit of Tool Range.

Example 1

Voltmeter measures $R = 11.53$ in Tool Range $10 k Ω$ .
Its Uncertainty = $δ R$ = $0.8 % \cdot read + 5 \cdot counts$ → Last digit of $R$ is $3$ and it's expressed n $10 Ω$ (=counts) → $δ R$ = $0.8 % \cdot (11.53 k Ω) + 5 \cdot (10 Ω)$
